Shirley M. Dismore

1939 - 2025

Veedersburg - Shirley Mae (Scott) Dismore, 86, of Veedersburg, passed away in the Fountain Springs, in Covington, on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 12:58 p.m.,with her family by her side.
    Shirley was born at home in Attica, Indiana on April 15, 1939.  She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Thelma (Goodson) Scott Sr.  Shirley was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1958.  She has lived most of her life in rural Veedersburg.
    Shirley was a life member of the Sterling Christian Church.  She loved traveling and being with her family.
    On June 6, 1958, Shirley married the love of her life, Lee Roy Dismore in Veedersburg. 
    She leaves behind her husband, Lee Roy, of 67 years along with four children, Debbie (Tim)  Davis, Trenton, OH; Eric (Denise) Dismore; Sandy (James) Robinson and Lori (Mark) Bowlus, all of Veedersburg; two brothers, Carl Scott and Charles “Chuck” (Betty) Scott, both of Attica; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.  Shirley was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Parker Bowlus; a sister, Janet Bossaer; four brothers, Lawrence “Bub” Scott Jr, infant Jimmy Scott, Tom Scott and Danny Scott.
    As per Shirley’s request, cremation services were accorded her and no formal services are planned.  Memorial contributions in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Sterling Christian Church, 701 S. Sterling Avenue, Veedersburg, IN   47987 or the Attica Free Methodist Church, 1212 E. Main St., Attica, IN   47918.
