Shirley Ann Hastings Draper

 

Wolcott-Shirley Ann Draper, 81, passed away at her home on July 13, 2020. She was born December 14, 1938 in Hardwick, the daughter of George and Catherine Boyce Hastings. She married Jack Draper on December 10, 1956 in Hardwick. He predeceased her on January 4, 1993.

 

 

Shirley was employed as an LPN for 62 years at Copley Hospital.

 

Shirley and Jack were foster parents to many children over the years. They also hosted “Fresh Air” children for many years.

 

She is survived by her sons, Arland Draper and George Draper and wife, Jennifer all of Wolcott and Scott Churchill and wife, Sara of Greensboro; grandchildren: Shawn, Joshua, Tyson, Cole, Christine, Emily and Andrew and several great and great-great grandchildren.

 

Graveside services were held at the Taylor Cemetery on Wednesday, July 22nd at Taylor Cemetery in Wolcott.
