Shirley Fuller, a lifetime resident of the Media area, died peacefully on December 26, 2025 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Eric Fuller who preceded her in death in 2015.
Born and raised in Upper Providence, Shirley was the daughter of Emily (nee Spanier) and John Allison. She was a lifelong member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church and a graduate of Penncrest High School, class of 1963. In early years, Shirley was a waitress at the Inglenuk restaurant. Over the years, she held various administrative positions with Elwyn, Carroon and Black Noyes Insurance Co., EMSI and Rose Tree Place. Being a mother was Shirley’s most important and treasured work. She and Eric raised two children, James and Debra, in their hometown of Media. She was a pillar in the community and always involved with her children’s activities. Shirley was especially supportive of the Media Little League, Providence Animal Center and Nativity BVM.
In her free time, Shirley loved baking, gardening, knitting, reading, crafting and wood working. She was a huge fan of the Eagles and Phillies and a lover of all animals. She loved going to the mountains where she could fish, bird watch and be surrounded by the beauty of nature. She adored her pets, most recently her cat Bella, and looked forward to time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her children James Fuller (Megan) of Pittsgrove, NJ and Debra Hitchins (Ryan) of Bolton, Ontario; 3 grandchildren Wesley Fuller, Bryce Fuller, and Emily Hitchins and 2 step-grandchildren Ryan Stranahan and Emily Davis. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Betty Moor (the late Ronald) and Bonnie Farren (Mike) along with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Allison; her parents-in-law Elwood and Mildred Fuller; brothers-in-law Elwood Jr., James, and Richard and sisters-in-law Barbara (Butch) Colucci, Beverly, and Beatrice.

We love and miss you, Mrs. Fuller. I will never forget all the happy times we shared over the years, parties and holidays at your home, bridal and baby showers, Deb's wedding, and most recently, her 50th birthday. Also our road trip to Tabby's Place to visit the sanctuary and deliver the toys you made for the residents. May you rest in eternal peace with your beloved husband and watch over your children and grandchildren. Please don't forget to send Debra a sign.
