Shirley A. Kolp (86 years old) passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the GoodShepherd Hospice House in Sebring, FL after battling an illness with multiple myeloma.She was born November 19, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN.Her parents were William B. & Julia F. (Epperson) Mathews; both preceded her indeath.She was married to Jimmy A. Kolp in 1966; they would have celebrated 59 yearstogether this November. She had 4 children, Gregory (Jean) Kolp of Whitestown, IN;Bradley Kolp of Sebring, FL; Madonna (Kenny) Bell of Indianapolis, IN; and William(Cheryl) Kolp of Lebanon, IN.Grandchildren included Jill (Jeremy) Sherwood of Cicero, IN; Dustin (Enza) Kolp ofLebanon, IN; Amber (Matt) Turner of West Lafayette, IN; and William Kolp of Lebanon,IN.She also left behind 8 great-grandchildren and each one of them were very special toher!A brother, Ronald Mathews also preceded her in death.She was a high school graduate. Primarily held jobs in the business office/accountingdepartment, and retired from H.P. Products in Indianapolis prior to moving to Sebring,FL.She was active in Job’s Daughters, and Good Sams Club. She also served on theBoard of Directors for Boy Scout Troup #753 in Thorntown, IN and was a “mother” to somany of the members.Her favorite things included her family (of course!), collecting hummingbirds, angels,willow trees, palm trees, rocks, and she loved exploring the meaning behind Indiandresses. She also loved chihuahuas, and she had wonderful memories of her dog,Frito. She also grew to love her grand-dog, Wrigley and enjoyed her visits with her.Per Shirley’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Her cremation has been entrusted toStephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Crematory in Sebring. Burial will take place laterin Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, IN.The family would like to thank Patient First Home Care and Good Shepherd Hospice forthe amazing care and comfort they provided.Memorial Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice at Good ShepherdHospice Donation - Chapters Health Foundation.
