Shirley Ann Jones Cimino Pojar, 73 years of age, passed away peacefully in her sleep from natural causes on March 22, 2022. Shirley was born in Beaumont Texas on June 15, 1948 to the late Elmer D Jones and the late Ruby June Braswell Jones. She was the oldest of four children. Shirley was educated in the Houston public schools and graduated from E.L. Furr High School in May 1966. She was also a graduate of the Houston Business School.
Shirley was previously married and one child was born from that union. Later she met and married the love of her life, Joseph Pojar, who preceded her in death. Shirley is also preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her loving dogs – George, Harvey and Snoopy.
Shirley worked most of her career as a dispatcher with Motorola Communications and later with Alliance Wireless as the office manager before she retired. She also sold Avon products for many years and had continued selling Avon products online during her retirement.
Shirley was an avid collector of Barbie dolls, anything related to Elvis Presley, collector spoons and thimbles from places she visited. She enjoyed boating and camping, cruising with the Carnival Cruise line and traveling to Branson and Las Vegas with her late husband. After the loss of her husband she joined the Carnival Crazy Cruiser Group and had enjoyed many cruises with them over the years.
Shirley is survived by her loving daughter, Bobbie Jo Cimino King who will miss her Mother tremendously. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Christopher Shawn Fleming and Matthew Leslie Fleming. Shirley is survived by her sister Betty Jones Goolsby, her sister Brenda Jones Smith and husband Johnnie Smith, and her brother Kenneth Jones and wife Holly Jones. She is also survived by her neices and nephews, her Aunt Margaret and Aunt Beatrice along with many cousins as well as many cruise and Facebook friends.
A Memorial service will be held in memory of Shirley at the Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas on March 31, 2022 at 2 PM.

I am so saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. I worked with Shirley at Motorola from 1977 - 1989. I think I can speak for all the Motorola field tech's. SHE WAS FIRST CLASS.
