Sidney Sanders Polezcek, Jr., a resident of Amite, Louisiana born January 15th, 1941 and passed on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 6:26am in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 85. Sidney was a long time native of Albany, Louisiana and a resident of Amite, Louisiana. Sidney was a log truck driver for many years until his retirement. His whole life he worked, logging in his early years with his brother, Robert, and then driving log trucks for the rest of his career. When Sidney wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, riding four wheelers and playing with his dogs. Sidney is survived by his son, Ronnie D. Polezcek, Sr. (Sabrina); daughter, Tracy A. Polezcek; one brother, Robert L. Polezcek, Sr. (Barbara); five grandchildren, Ronnie D. Polezcek, Jr. (Kailey), Dakota W. Polezcek (Katie), Sidney D. Polezcek, Kerri R. Carrier (Blake), Virgil W. Polezcek; 7 great-grandchildren, Alayna M. Polezcek, Bowen L. Polezcek, Lane Lambert, Ryleigh Lambert, Lexie K. Polezcek, Keith W. Polezcek, Kayden B. Carrier. Sidney was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Jeanette Polezcek; his father, Sidney Sanders Polezcek Sr.; his mother, Dellar Hardy Polezcek; sons, Sidney Sanders Polezcek, III and Sidney Wayne Polezcek. Pallbearers will be Ronnie D. Polezcek Jr., Dakota W. Polezcek, Joe Lee, Tony Lee, Curtis Polezcek, T.J. Polezcek, Virgil Polezcek. Visitation will be held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and from 10:00am until Funeral Services at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 30, 2026.
