A celebration of life service for Sister Johnnie Mae Davis who passed on November 7, 2025, will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 Chipco Street, Tampa, Florida 33610 with Reverend Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr. Pastor, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33605. There will be a viewing on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605.Sister Johnnie Mae Davis was born on December 18, 1946, to the parentage of Johnnie B. and Maude Royal in Tampa, Florida. She was educated in the public schools in Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Middleton Senior High School, Class of 1964. She attended Gibbs Junior College with a focus on Business Administration. Sister Davis worked for the Tampa Urban League for over 40 years. She was also employed with United Technologies and Belmont Heights Estates prior to her retirement.Sister Davis accepted Christ at an early age. NI 1959, she united with St. John Progressive M. B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. F. G. Hilton. Her faith and love for God led to her untiring work in the church. She was diligent worker with various ministries: Intercessory Prayer, Choir No. 2, Mass Choir, Senior Women Mission, Hour-of-Power, Keenagers and Sisterhood.Sister Davis was preceded in death by her loving father and mother, Johnnie B. and Maude Royal; brother, Donnell K. Royal and brother-in-law, Lionel Outten.She leaves behind to cherish memories with her children, Darren Royal, Sr. (Patricia), Krystal Davis and Keldrian Davis; grandchildren, Brittnye Johnson, Darren Royal Jr., Kayla Royal and Tori Royal; great grandchildren, Kensington Fennell, Darren Royal, III and Karter Mae Smith; sisters, Maudie Jackson, Leontyne Goosby and Christine Ryal Outten; brother, Theodore Royal, Sr. (Alisia); nieces and nephews, Kendra Higdon (Rodney, Sr) and family, Jerrlyn Jackson and family, LaWanda Covin (Jimmy) and family, Donna Royal Addison (Michael, Jr.), Theodore Royal, Jr. and family, Cheryl Davis and family and Candance Royal and family; a host of loving cousins and friends; goddaughter, Tia' Meshae Allen; godbrothers, Rev.
