Papaw was as good as gold. I remember one time, he got kicked out of one of my wrestling tournaments because he didn’t like the way a referee treated my mom. He was so many amazing things, but most importantly, he was an honest man who loved his family, saw the best in every situation, and always saw the good in people. These are traits I aspire to have within myself, and I’m so thankful that I got to have so much of my life with him. I love you so much Papaw, and don’t worry, because I’ll take care of Nanaw until she gets to return to you.

When I wasa little girl I can remember going to Healdton to see Uncle Hester and AUNT Peggie. Granny and Grandad were so proud of Stanley, it was a special treat to see the family. We were waiting to see Stanley, he came in the door and walked through the living room with his boots on. AUNT Peggie got him. I can remember thinking why is he getting in trouble, and being upset with aunt Peggie, anyway I LOVE all yall so much and MISS those young days.
I talked to him on the phone last year about this time. We had a long talk and he told me stories I never heard. Will miss him. Good by Lovrd Cousin.
