Stephanie Brandi Burpo

1980 - 2025

Stephanie Brandi Burpo, 44, of Cape Girardeau, gained her wings on Saturday, February 8, 2025 in peace at her sister's home. She was born on June 12, 1980 in St. Louis, MO to the late Marilyn Gean Dorsey.

Stephanie attended Sikeston High School. She was very smart, intelligent, and she graduated with honors. Stephanie moved to Cape Girardeau in 2016, where she enjoyed being a resident. She worked for CCC Behavioral and took pride in everything that she did. She loved everyone that she came in contact with. She was of the Christian faith and was a very fun and loving person who loved children. If you knew her, then you knew her, and she will be deeply missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Dorsey, and one granddaughter and a bonus daughter, Maya Droughn, that she loved dearly as her own.

She is survived by two daughters: Ja'Quasia Stratton and Evelyn Stratton, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter in law, Amara Combs of Cape Girardeau; a son, Jaiden Fletcher of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a sister, Adria (Vashon) Rivers of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Willekis Dorsey, in whom meant the world to her; and four grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.
