Stephanie Cue Obituary

Stephanie Elaine Cue, 62, was born on February 12, 1958, to Ruth Sims and was raised by her Grandparents Mary and Robert Simms in Leesburg, VA. Quietly, God called Stephanie home on Friday, April 17, 2020, at the Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Stephanie joined Mt. Zion Methodist Church at an early age, where her grandparents instilled a solid Christian foundation. Stephanie graduated from Loudon County High School in 1975 and enlisted in the United States Army in 1976. While in the Army, Stephanie met and married Lorenzo Cue in 1979. From that union, four children were born - Tikisha Cue, Tiffany Cue, Jasmine Cue, and Jahmal Cue. Unfortunately, that union ended in divorce.

Stephanie loved her children and grandchildren dearly, and whenever she would send them a card or letter, she always sealed the envelope with a kiss. She would also give words of encouragement to family and friends. Stephanie was affectionately known as GiGi to her granddaughters and great-grandson and was so excited and looking forward to meeting and holding him one day.

Stephanie loved Christmas, anything that was purple, and watching the Real Housewives on TV. She also enjoyed talking with her sister/cousin Donna Berry-Singleton and Carlton Chase (Rip). The three cousins would call themselves the three musketeers.

Stephanie was predeceased by her grandparents Mary and Robert Simms, brother Paul Sims and sister Jacqueline Sims.

Stephanie leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted life partner of 22 years Charles Thomas; mother Ruth Sims, daughters Tikisha Cue, Tiffany Cue, Twins Jasmine and Jahmal Cue; sisters Beverly Scott, Janet Sims, Kristen Sims; nephews Anthony Neal, Eric Neal, Tyrel Ashton, Tariq Sims, Tavion Cosentine; niece Jacelyn Scott, Granddaughters Kiara Dowdy, Tamia Cue; great-niece Aniya Shiper, great-nephew Elias Neal and great-grandson Jahmir Washington.

Stephanie was loved and will be missed by so many!

I am so saddened to see a DOD for Stephanie in Ancestry tonight. Had no idea of her status since February 2019 when she last wrote a message to me via Ancestry about her health issues. So sorry I never got to meet my cousin Stephanie in person. My condolences to the family.
