Stephen Spohn Obituary

SPOHN, Stephen Edward – Of Flint, age 67, died Thursday, August 22, 2019, after spending a few weeks at Springvale Assisted Living.


Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.


Private inurnment at Flint Memorial Park will take place at a later date.


In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association.


Visitation 1-4 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.


Stephen was born in Flint, Michigan on May 3, 1952, the son of Douglas and Betty (Rau) Spohn.


In 1971 he married Pam DeMoss in Flint.


He founded S.E. Spohn Construction, Inc. in 1986, retiring in 2014.


Prior to beginning his company, he was a member of the Carpenter’s Union.


Steve was a very generous and charitable man and was a grand sponsor of the Children’s Miracle Network. His hobbies were classic cars; he had a passion for drag racing, loved to be on the lake and enjoyed boating.


Most important he loved being with his family and his dogs.


Surviving are wife, Pam;


three children, Jeff, Jeremy (Heather) and Jason (Cassandra);


grandchildren, Cameron, Makenna, Cayden, Noah and Myla;


brother, Lynn (Regenia);


sister-in-law, Mary;


brother-in-law, Greg (Kathy)DeMoss;


many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Chris.

Steve was my brother-in-law. He was one of the nicest people that I will never know . We had many good times back in the day he accomplished many things in his life. Gave me 3 nephews

Pam, my heart goes out to you and your family during this very sad and difficult time. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Steve.
