Sterling Wyatt Obituary
Sterling F. Wyatt’s journey of life gracefully concluded on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the age of 80 at Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation. Sterling was born in Dinwiddie, Virginia to the late Barrington Wyatt and Johnanna Moody Wyatt Walker. At a young age, he accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of Little Zion Baptist Church in Carson, Virginia.
Sterling was an avid baseball lover. In his prime, he played for the multi-championship Bethel Red Sox. Sterling was proud to be an Army veteran and to have retired from Bellwood. He was also a long time loyal employee of Brown and Williamson until the plant relocated to Macon, Georgia. He loved spending time with his nephews, Alonzo, Bert, Earl, and Jeff.
Mr. Wyatt was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Herbert Walker; brothers, Stilmer and Stanley Wyatt; nephews Leon and Glenn Wyatt; nieces Bernadette and Ilona Wyatt. He is survived by his three children, Kenneth Wyatt (Robbie), Terrance Wyatt, and Adriana Brown; three grandsons, Kenneth Wyatt II, Tevon Todd, and Alvin Brown; one great-granddaughter, Araya Todd; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends to include a devoted cousin, Hazel Parham and a devoted niece, Marcita Fitzgerald.
Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 2, 2026, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA. The interment at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
A wake will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the funeral establishment.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sterling passing , he has been on my mind and heart ❤ heavy lately. Last time I saw him was around this time last year. I could see that he was going through some health issues. Even though our hearts are heavy, he is no longer suffering . God makes no mistakes and will supply all our needs. He will be missed but is now resting in the arms of his Heavenly Father. RIP/RIH Sterling
