Susan Joan Ceresini

1953 - 2021

Susan Joan Ceresini, 67, of Frederick, Maryland, formerly of DuBois, Pennsylvania passed away Sunday May 16th, 2021. She was in her home and comforted by her beloved husband of 40 years, Gerard (Gerry) Ceresini, following a grueling battle with MDS/preleukemia. 

She was the daughter of the late Aldo Paul Brigide and Eileen Erma Brigide.

Susan is survived and will be greatly missed by her three children, Christina (Tina) Ceresini, Jennifer (Jen) Ceresini Nuessle, and Paul (P.J.) Ceresini (Wife, Lindsey), as well as her six grandchildren, Alexandra (26), Samantha (21), Mason (13), Joseph (Joey) (10), Kaedyn (9) and Kenady (9). She is also survived by her sister, Lynne Peters and her stepmother, Patricia Ralston Brigide. 

Susan worked for Frederick County Public schools from the years of 1988 to 2008. She touched the lives of many with her bubbly personality and exuberant kindness. Susan was known to many for her contagious smile and her selflessness. She made the world a better place simply by existing.  

Susan had many friends and cared for them all with the same love and admiration she put into everything. She enjoyed laying by the pool, eating crabs, spending time with her family, and “cruising” with her “Gerbo”. 

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all who were able to celebrate Susan’s wonderful 67 years of life. Additionally, we appreciate the many doctors and nurses who supported her during her battle with MDS. To family members and friends who offered loving support and care to Susan during her time of need, we thank you. 

In accordance with Susan’s wishes, her family and friends were able to celebrate her life with a living memorial rather than a traditional memorial service. It was important to Susan to minimize tears and instead reflect upon the happy times she had spent with those close to her.  To all who were able to share memories with her on Saturday, May 15th, 2021, it truly meant the world to her.
