Susan C. Loughlin

1944 - 2025

Susan C. Loughlin, age 81 of West Chester, PA passed away suddenly on December 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late David Loughlin, who passed away on February 17, 2025. Susan was born on April 30, 1944, in Pottstown, PA to the late Merrill Haas and Elizabeth “Betty” Himes Haas.

Susan was a graduate of Pottstown High School. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Whitford Flowers in Exton. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Dave and her friends. Favorite destinations included the Adirondacks, National Parks out west, Mexican dive trips, and cruises in the Caribbean. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, crafts, and was an excellent cook and hostess for family holidays. Her most cherished roles, however, were wife, mother and grandmother — serving as room mother, Brownie troop leader, and cheerleader at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting and musical events were among her greatest joys, and caring for her husband during his final years her proudest duty.

She is survived by her daughter Carla Loughlin, son and daughter-in-law Jeffery and Mary Loughlin, grandchildren Kristen and Michael Loughlin, and siblings Merle Pace, Melinda Heller, and James Haas, as well as many friends made and kept throughout her life.

SERVICES:

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Susan’s visitation on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 11am-12 noon at the Mauger-Givnish Funeral Home 24 Monument Avenue Malvern, PA 19355, followed by her funeral service at 12 noon. Interment will be private.
