Terry Hochstatter Obituary

A MEMORIAL VISITATION FOR TERRY WILL BE HELD AT THE BARTO FUNERAL HOME ON SATURDAY, APRIL 27, FROM 10:00 AM UNTIL TIME OF FUNERAL SERVICES, WHICH WILL BEGIN AT 11:30 AM.  REV. RONALD MARGHERIO, O.S.B., WILL OFFICIATE.  


 


Terry William Hochstatter, 72, of Spring Valley, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at OSF St. Clare Medical Center in Princeton.


 


Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service is being planned.  An announcement with the service details will be published at that time.  The Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, is honored to be assisting Terry’s family.


 


Terry was born in Granville on September 15, 1951 to LaVerne and Doris (Liles) Hochstatter.  He married Jean Panier on March 20, 1974 in Princeton, IL.


 


Terry was a graduate of St. Bede Academy and had worked as a grain elevator operator.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and animal lover.  He spent his free time taking walks in nature and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.


 


Survivors include his wife, Jean Panier Hochstatter; his two daughters, Trisha (Michael) Harrison and Dawn (Ryan) Colmone; his eleven grandchildren, Devon (Allie Woodhouse), Aidan (Hensley Leach) and Sophia Colmone and Olivia (Jacob) Burns, Tori and Luke Bogatitus, Michael, Robert, Nathan, Tyler and Jolene Harrison; two great-grandchildren, Mildred Burns and Emerie Harrison; his brother, Steven M. Hochstatter and his sister, Cheryl Pizzamiglio; his aunt, Jeanne Hochstatter; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.


 


He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as several aunts and uncles.


 


Memorials may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue or 10-33 Ambulance Service.
