I was so sorry to see that Larry had passed. He contacted me some years ago via the internet to inform me he thought we were distant cousins. With DNA we discovered that he was correct. We have stayed in contact since waiting for a time we could get together and discuss ancestry. It lays heavy on my heart we won’t get that chance.

Larry was my brother-in-law. Great guy, smart and intelligent. We had many great conversations across many subjects. But the base of his love of family was what he was about. Wife, children and grandchildren were top of his thoughts and concerns. Because of our living many miles apart for so long we did not have enough time together. Our loss! He will be missed. It was our privilege to have called him “friend”.

Judge Salmon came to my office every morning at the yellow courthouse & had coffee. I admired his courtroom demeanor..everyone knew to be prepared when he stepped on the bench. His sense of humor was like no other. For years he & Sally had a Christmas party in the courtroom for all the employees & it was always fun. So many more great memories of him...I will miss you my friend.

He was a wonderful person. My mother and I held a neighborhood meet and greet in the Maplewood neighborhood for him when he was running for Superior Court judge. Most recently I worked with him on the Magistrate Court mediation program. My thoughts go out to all his family.

Judge Salmon was a great man with a quirky sense of humor. I enjoyed the years I got to work with him in the Floyd County judicial system. I know he will be missed by many and was admired for the man he was and for the work he did.
