Theresa Ann Spath

1944 - 2025

QUEENSBURY --- Theresa Ann (Palangi) Spath, 81, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Born March 19, 1944, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Anthony J. and Madonna M. (Carnahan) Palangi.

Theresa was raised in Glens Falls, New York. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy Class of 1962. From 1962 until 1969, Theresa worked in the office of Jaxton Mnfg. on Cooper Street in Glens Falls.

Theresa married Leon R. Spath of Pulaski, New York on September 6, 1969, at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church in Queensbury. They built a home on Ridge Road in Queensbury where they raised their four children, Leon C. Spath, wife, Tricia, Robert W. Spath, wife, Jen, Andrew C. Spath, and Marisa J. (Spath) Robillard. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 6, 2019.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leon R. Spath on November 10, 2019, and son-in-law, Adam Robillard.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; grandchildren, Mason J. Spath, Avery W. Spath, Elizabeth F. Spath, Madelyn E. Spath, Thomas H. Spath, and Graham H. Robillard.; sisters, Mary Tessier, Gloria Greeno, husband, Garth; brothers, Joseph Palangi, wife, June, Anthony James Palangi, wife, Donna, Anthony Donald Palangi, wife, Nancy and Frank Palangi, wife, Renee; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Theresa lived her lifelong dreams of having a home and family. She loved family get togethers, especially Christmas, which was her favorite holiday. Theresa and Leon enjoyed taking trips while in the American Legion as well as trips with family. She also loved taking care of her grandchildren along with her favorite pet cats. She enjoyed adult coloring books, word games, quizzes, and non-fiction books.

Visitation will take place from 4:00PM until 6:00PM on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Our Lady of Annunciation, 448 Aviation Rd. Queensbury, NY with the Father Busch officiating.

A graveside ceremony will follow at Pine View Cemetery.
