Todd was born a 5th generation Montanan on December 27, 1962 in Plentywood, MT to Lloyd and Mildred Marsh. He earned a B.S. in Zoology from Montana State University and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Todd was a life- long learner. His desire and drive for furthering his education never slowed. He studied beef production at the Meat Animal Research Center at the University of Nebraska and in 2004 he earned a Masters of Agribusiness from Kansas State University.
Todd married Stacie Goodman of Helena, MT and together they had four sons, Jared, Jackson, Justin and Jacob. Todd had a fierce pride and absolute love for his family. Soon after graduation, Todd and Stacie opened their first veterinary clinic in the Platte/Geddes area of South Dakota. In 2003 Todd moved his family back home. On the family ranch is where Todd belonged. He was in complete oneness with the land. He knew every coulee, every creature and every blade of grass. He passed that clear cut passion and respect of nature to his four boys. Not only was Todd a successful veterinarian and proud rancher but he was sought out for his advice and infinite knowledge. He was a reliable teacher, coach, an unwavering friend and a trustworthy confidant.
Todd is survived by his wife Stacie; sons Jared, Jackson, Justin and Jacob; mother Millie of Plentywood; brothers Ron (Robynn) Marsh of Huson, MT, Tom (Karen) Marsh of Viola, Idaho and Greg Marsh of Billings, MT; sisters Angie (Randy) Jones of Charles City, Iowa and Milissa (Gary) Brensdal of Plentywood; special uncle and aunt Gaylen and Kathie Marsh of Plentywood; as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
An “after branding” gathering will be scheduled to honor Todd.
Stacie and the family would like to thank everyone for the support and outpouring of love.
