Du Van Nguyên, lovingly known as "Tom Do Nguyen", a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2025, at the age of 76. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion to his family, courage in service, and a profound appreciation for the outdoors.
A Life of Service and Devotion
Born on April 4th, 1949 in Kiên Giang, Vietnam, Tom dedicated his early life to service as a Vietnam War veteran. His bravery and commitment during his time in the military were hallmarks of his character. Upon returning from his service, he successfully channeled his strength and loyalty into becoming a devoted family man and a successful business owner.
He utilized his skills to establish and grow his business, creating a lasting legacy through hard work, integrity, and dedication. More than a businessman, Tom was a pillar of strength and a source of boundless love for his family, always prioritizing their well-being and happiness.
When he wasn't tending to his family or his business, Tom retreated to his sanctuary: the outdoors. He was an experienced outdoorsman and rooster lover who found comfort in the wilderness. He was a master storyteller, and his family and friends explicitly recall the memories he would share, ranging from the hard-won lessons in his battle stories to the sheer delight of his best catches.
Above all, Tom's greatest joy was his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. His presence created a warm and comforting center for those he loved. Tom’s strength, welcoming presence, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Tom is survived by his wife, The “Diana” Nguyen; his sons Quoc, Gia, and David; and his daughter, Maily Nguyen. He is also survived by his daughters-in-law Heidy, Sandra, and Danya, and by his cherished grandchildren Mya, Ciana, Kalani, Kash, Sunshine, Mileena, Gia, and Christopher.
