Tony Lamar Hughes, Sr. was born February 15, 1974, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the union of Thomas and Barbara Hughes.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Thomas Hughes; son, Tony L Hughes Jr.; granddaughter, Samirah Mitchell; grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Bates; and great grandparents, Maudie and Olie Hughes.
Tony was a believer in God. He attended Church of Christ at 7300 Prospect. He attended school in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. He worked as a cook in the Kansas City, Kansas area.
Tony was affectionately called Tony Roni by his grandmother, whom he loved dearly.
He was a very adventurous child that walked at 7 months. He was a lover of family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, playing dominos, working out, and watching sports and scary movies.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Barbara Hughes; two brothers, Donald Hughes and Rodney Hughes; one sister, Danielle Hughes; three daughters, Sharnice Mitchell, Rochelle Johnson, and Arriana Hughes; two sons, TaeRon Hughes and TaRontez Hughes; and two stepchildren, Jimmy Boggess and JaRaya Boggess all of Kansas City, Missouri; grandmother, Sarah Hughes; a special uncle and aunt, Arthur and Melvie Tabias of St Louis, Missouri; a special friend, Shelia Miles; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
