Tyrone Adams-Bey Obituary

Tyrone Delar Adams-Bey was born Tyrone Delar Adams to Myrtle Louise Adams and Robert Delanders Jones-Bey (Temple No.4) on December 8, 1977, in Detroit, Michigan. Tyrone was the oldest amongst his five siblings: Robert Adams, Qunekia Adams, Markeytia Jordan, Malcom Adams and Raheem Adams.

Tyrone was affectionately called “my little old man” by his loving Mother, as he was not only very protective of his mother at a young age but he also exemplified traits and qualities of the term “been here before”.

Shortly after graduating from Mumford High School in Detroit Michigan in 1996, Tyrone served honorably in the United States Army. While serving in the United States Army, Tyrone met his first wife Lakisha Adams. They shared 18 years together and have two beautiful sons named Tyrone Adams, Jr. (26) and Tyvon Adams (24).

Following his successful military service and tour of duty at Fort Lewis Washington, he continued to perform in a variety of professions before changing careers and becoming a Journeyman HVAC Technician. After his accomplishments in corporate positions, he started a successful career as a government civilian HVAC technician with the Department of the Army.  He earned a Facility Management Certification from George Mason University. His outstanding performance continued to be recognized by his leaders at 7th Special Forces Group, Florida, Fort Myers, Virginia; Fort McNair, Washington DC.

Tyrone joined the Moorish Science Temple of America in 2016 at Temple No.71 located in Washington D.C. where he took on the name of Bey. He later transferred his membership to Moorish National Home No.1 located in Prince George Virginia. Tyrone met his second wife Danielle Adams-Bey in 2017. They got obligated in 2019 and have three beautiful daughters named Creation Adams-Bey (6), Unity Adams-Bey (5) and Sincerity Adams-Bey (2).

Tyrone went through the Adapt Chamber of the Moorish Science Temple of America in 2018 where he became a Sheik. The following year he became a National Mufti and received his ordination letter to the Divine Ministry. Within his local Temple at Moorish National Home No1 he served as the Assistant Treasurer and in later years he served as the Chairman. Tyrone was a dedicated member of the MSTA’s Media team. Here made numerous flyers and slideshows and had his first show “A Brother’s Bond” followed by “Universal Love” with his wife Danielle. Tyrone also served as the Major Mufti of the East Coast Region and was later appointed as the first Mufti Commander of the East Coast Region.

Tyrone was a loving and caring person who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He loved to laugh and have fun while always wearing a huge smile on his face. Always thinking of others first, Tyrone often made sacrifices for others to help his family, friends, temple members. Tyrone loved to share the words of Prophet Noble Drew Ali along with his own words of wisdom. Some of his favorite quotes from the Holy Koran were, “The teacher treds the way; on every span of ground he leaves his footprints, clearly cut, which all can see and be assured that he, their master went that way.” and “We are creators and make our own.”

Tyrone, affectionately known as “Tab”, by his wife Danielle, was an absolute joy to be around. “To know him is to love him.” The loving memory of Tyrone will always be cherished by his wife, Danielle Adams-Bey; loving children, Tyrone and Tyvon Adams, Creation, Unity and Sincerity Adams-Bey; parents, Myrtle Adams and Robert Jones-Bey (Temple No.4); siblings, Robert Adams (Chantee), Qunekia Adams, Markeytia Jordan (Larry), Malcom Adams and Raheem Adams; a host a nieces and nephews, family and friends including but not limited to: Lakisha Adams, Gloria Conley, Sebrina Adams, Gary Adams, Fernando Adams, Phillip and Tina Harris, Wilson Creighton-Bey III, Roderick Smith-Bey, Kamil Simmons-El, John Latimore-Bey and Gary Vaughn-El.

Tyrone’s presence even in memory will forever leave our hearts filled with love, kindness, and comfort. The Adams/Adams-Bey Family would like to express our sincere appreciation for all the support, words of encouragement, cards, visits, and prayers during this time. As Tyrone loved to say after speaking before a group of Moors, “What’s in you is in me, what’s in me is in you and if we can focus on the Allah in each other, we can accomplish some mighty things. Peace.”
