Farewell my mate Verlin.
Though separated by half a world - you in Kansas City and me in Sydney Australia, our many conversations made the distance feel irrelevant. We shared great chats, a deep love of our classic cars, especially our Nash Healeys and an even deeper respect for one another.
Verlin was a true gentleman in every sense of the word - kind, generous with his time, and always speaking well of others. I will miss our conversations and his steady, thoughtful presence.
Rest well, Verlin. Your what we call down-under a 'good bloke' and you will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
Love your mate, Dave - Gob bless

We met Verlin when we moved to Weatherby lake as a young family some 15yrs ago now. We lived up the street from Verlin and our kids played with his grandkids as they grew up. Verlin was always a very kind, thoughtful and generous man. I would run into Verlin at the grocery store on occasion and would help him load his groceries. Verlin always had a good story. Verlin, you will be missed!

I first met Verlin over 30 years ago.
What a memorable person and a great person to have known and worked with during his insurance career.
Verlin left a lasting good impression on everyone he met.
He was one of a kind, in a very good way.
I fell privileged to have known him and value our experiences together.
