Violet M. Seibold

1931 - 2026

Violet M. Seibold, 94, of Fessenden, ND formerly of rural Cathay, ND passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at SMP St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, ND.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Fessenden with Pastor Shirley Teske officiating.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be held at the Germantown Baptist Cemetery at rural Cathay.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Maddock Memorial Home and Staff for the excellent care they provided to Violet: 301 Roosevelt Avenue Maddock, ND 58348.

Violet was born March 17, 1931 at Cathay, North Dakota to Christ and Rosie (Eisenbarth) Meier.  She attended rural grade school and four years at Cathay, and graduated from the New Rockford High School in 1948.

On September 24 1950, Violet was united in marriage to Lester Glenn Seibold in New Rockford.  They made their home on the Seibold family farm and raised their three children - Lorie, Bruce and Brian.

Violet is survived by her daughter, Lorie (Rodney) Olson of Hendrum, MN; two sons, Bruce Seibold and Brian (Deanna) Seibold, both of Fessenden; grandson, Michael (Heidi) and their child Nathan; granddaughter, Kimberly.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lester Seibold; parents, Christ and Rosie Meier.
