Virginia Lenora Groce Meyers was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 18, 1932, and passed away in Smithfield, Utah on April 12, 2023. She is the oldest daughter of Alice Leona Christensen and Ernest Baxter Groce. She married Norman Ardell Meyers on August 7, 1951. They are the parents of four gracious, giggly, gorgeous, gregarious girls: Cherie, Colleen, Cathy, and Connie.
Virginia’s greatest work was being a wife and mother. She worked hard cooking, sewing, canning, gardening, and in every way to fulfill this stewardship. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served her Savior lovingly and faithfully. Her testimony was strong and unwavering. She and Norm were happy to serve a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois. She loved doing family history work and spent countless hours researching ancestors and doing temple work for them. She will be greeted by so many grateful ancestors.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses (her sons): Cherie Mascaro, Colleen and Kenneth Dansie, Cathy and Roy Silcox, and Connie and Dave Price; 15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren; Norm’s brother and his wife, Frank and Elaine Meyers; and many extended family members and great friends. She was preceded by: Norm, son-in-law Clayton Mascaro, her parents, and all her siblings and their spouses.
The family would like to thank the staff at Birch Creek Assisted Living Center in Smithfield, Utah where she has been living the last few months. They loved her dearly and attended to her graciously. She especially loved the young nurses, CNAs, and other aides who hourly cared for her with love and compassion. We appreciate the love you gave to her.

Dear Cheri, Colleen, Cathy & Connie,
What a wonderful reunion must be going on in Heaven!! Thank you for sharing your mom with me. As she recovered from neck surgery she continued to help young families like mine learn to build their food storage and use it in everyday life. She became a dear friend during those several years. And we can see her in each of you, Love, Nina Ranquist Petersen Bozarth.
