Walter Dietz Jr. Obituary

Dietz, Walter F. Jr. age 57 of Rutherford NJ passed away peacefully on September 7, 2021. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and soul mate Nancy Dietz. He was a devoted and loving father to their sons Walter Paul and Matthew Taylor. He loved his family tremendously. He loved his dog Ryder and two cats Lillian and Pandi. Being a close family, they enjoyed camping, fishing, motor bikes and being up at the family mountain house. Walter's F250 was a favorite of his and he enjoyed keeping it pristine. He was a great son and the best big brother to his four siblings who he cherished. He was extremely hard working and everything he did, he did with perfection. Walter had the biggest heart, he was strong but sensitive and kind.

He leaves behind his his loving wife of 32 years Nancy Matiko Dietz and his two sons Walter Paul, his wife Nicole, Matthew and his significant other Brezdyn. Son of Phyllis Stahl, step father Jack Stahl, his three sisters JoAnn Dietz, Denise Torres, Christine Schenkerberg and her spouse Christopher, his brother Michael Dietz and his significant other Stephanie, his father-in-law Paul Matiko, Sister-in-law Susan Houcke, brother-in-law Paul Matiko and his wife Helen along with 9 nephewFs and nieces as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
Walter is predeceased by his father Walter F. Dietz, Sr. , his mother-in-law Mary Matiko and his brother-in-law Richard Matiko.
Walter graduated from Ridgefield Park High School in 1982 and worked at OverPeck Auto Body in Ridgefield for many years with his father and was partner in Garfield Auto Body. He later went on to MCT now Gabriellis in Ridgefield Park and remained there until his passing.
Walter will be forever remembered as a man who touched the lives of so many friends and family with his humor, kindness and big heart.
