Walter B. Johnston, Jr., age 67, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, April 28, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Johnston was born January 11, 1947 in Texarkana, Arkansas and was a life time resident of Texarkana. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Thursday Morning Old Men?s Club. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter B. Johnston, Sr. and one brother, A. D. Johnston.
He is survived by his wife: Martha Johnston of Texarkana, Texas; his mother: Bonnie Johnston of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law: Michelle and Brian Turk of Texarkana, Texas; Keely and Chad Owen of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sons and daughters-in-law: Shane and Melissa Johnston of Fouke, Arkansas; John and Karen Pratt of Hooks, Texas; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren: his faithful companion puppy dog; Toad Johnston, and a number of other relatives.

A memorial service will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A. M.
