Walter Loper Obituary

Walter Wesley Loper, 88, of Buna, Texas passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at St. Elizabeth's Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, at First United Methodist Church in Buna with burial at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.

Born July 1, 1927 in Sebastopol, MS to Daniel R. & Cora (Myers) Loper, he had lived in Buna since 1984 and was a retired Plant Manager in gas refining. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of the World War II.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lonadier; and a granddauther, Theresa Lonadier.

Survivors include his son, Wesley & Pam Loper of Kirbyville; step sons, Norma Ray & Vickie Wilson of Lumberton, Ronald W. & Karen Wilson of Buna, and Rob T. & Donna Wilson of Colmesneil; grandchildren, Jason & Tasha Loper, and Shane Loper; great grandchildren, Cora, Case, Cade & Emma Loper; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. Walter was a lovely man who loved & married our Melva. He opened his heart & home to all of us. There is surely a precious reunion at heaven's gate now.
