Warren Clarence Alpaugh, 87, of Derby, VT passed away on July 25, 2025.
Warren grew up on Dunwalke Farm in Far Hill, New Jersey and graduated from Bernards High in Bernardsville, New Jersey. He later served three years in the US Army stationed in Chitose, Japan.
After working 37 years for Algonquin Gas Transmission Company, Warren and Ruth moved to Vermont where they were able to celebrate 60 years together.
He was an avid fan of the NY Football Giants, the NY Yankees and “Gin Mills”.
He also enjoyed playing cards, gardening and Western’s on TV.
He is survived by his daughter Susan and her husband John and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Marion Alpaugh, his wife Ruth and his son Jeffrey. His sister Gloria King and brothers Albert and Leonard.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday August 2, 2025 at the Curtis-Britch & Bouffard Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road in Derby.
Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. If friends desire, memorial contributions in Warren’s name may be made to the Pope Memorial Frontier Animal Society, 243 Woods Farm Road, Newport, VT 05855.
