Wendell Chadwick Sr.

Wendell Chadwick, Sr., 72, of Caledonia, MS passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at his residence.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 1-3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Pastor Matt Moehring officiating. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Chadwick was born February 16, 1941 in Benoit, MS to the late JW Ross Chadwick and Della Mae Thompson. He was a Master Sergeant in the US Marine Corps having served for 21 years. Mr. Chadwick earned many medals during service among them being the Purple Heart. He worked as a Team Coordinator at Weyerhauser for 20 years. Mr. Chadwick loved baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. He was a member of VFW and DAV. Mr. Chadwick is preceded in death by his biological father ? JW Chadwick; mother ? Della Mae Thompson; father ? Herman Childers; wife ? Annese Josephine Chadwick; and grandchild ? Candace Michelle Chadwick.

Mr. Chadwick is survived by daughters ? Gwendolyn C. (Eric) Roellgen, Tupelo, MS and Karen A.(James) Price Columbus, MS; son ? Wendell W. (Vickie) Chadwick,Jr. Caledonia, MS; sisters ? Mary (Tony) Durstanti, Cleveland, MS and Josie (Donald) Fleming, Merigold, MS; grandchildren ? Chris Price, Tony Price, Duston Price, Heather Chadwick, Shane Chadwick, Chad Price, and Gaige Roellgen; and Aunt Inez Childers.

Pallbearers will be Chris Price, Tony Price, Duston Price, Shane Chadwick, Chad Price, Gaige Roellgen, and Dennis Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Leming, Jerry Brackin, and Halon Roberson.
