William "Bill" Berger, Sr. Obituary

Lynchburg……William “Bill” Weeden Berger, Sr., age 68 of Lynchburg died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Guggenheimer Health & Rehab.  


Born January 18, 1950 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Hayward Faira Berger and Hessie Lucille Briggs Berger Midkiff. He was predeceased by a brother, Hayward David Berger, Sr. and a sister, Rebecca Ann Berger. Mr. Berger was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and retired from Aerofin as an engineer.  He enjoyed hunting, cooking, canning, playing Santa Claus; and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.   


He is survived by his wife, Brenda Howerton Berger of Lynchburg; a son, William “Billy” W. Berger, Jr. of Lynchburg; two daughters, Melissa Berger of Lynchburg and Sarah Berger of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren, Davay, Amaree, Zoey, Layla, Isabella, Lucille, and Anakin Berger; and a great-grandchild, Kayden.


Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.


The family would like to give a special thank you to his caregiver, Tiffany Tomlin for the wonderful care she provided.
