William Luther Brinson, 81, of Adel, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Capitol Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, FL.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Coty Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.
Casketbearers will be Theron Roberts, Jeffery Roberts, R.J. Brinson, Joey Brinson, P.J. Pittman and Chris Ward. Chet Powell and Colin Millison will serve as honorary casketbearers.
Born December 16, 1939 in Bridgeboro, GA, he was the son of the late Lee Brinson and Ida Mae Bowen Brinson. Mr. Brinson retired in 1995 as a Park Ranger at Reed Bingham State Park and attended Young Christian Crusade Church. He was a member of the Western Heritage Trail Riding Club, enjoyed deep sea fishing and playing musical instruments like the mandolin, guitar, and the drums. Mr. Brinson got along with everyone, liked to joke around, have fun and he never held a grudge against anyone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Beverly, Dorothy Holton and Gladys Brinson; brother, Edward Lee “Buddy” Brinson.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Roberts Brinson of Adel; son, Rodney L. Brinson and wife Joy of Adel; grandchildren, Chakara “Chick” Truxel and fiancé P.J. Pittman of Adel, Rodney “R.J.” Brinson, Jr. of Adel; great-grandchildren, Jaylen, McKylee, Liam and Grayson; brothers, Pete Brinson and wife Shirley of Moultrie, Ronnie Brinson, Billy Brinson and wife Gail, Mitchell Brinson all of Moultrie.

I am so very sorry to hear of Mr. Brinson's passing. He was such a joy to us all at the Senior Center and was constantly making us laugh. Thoughts and prayers are with you with peace and comfort to your family.
