Not sure what to say?

After fourteen years, over this last summer I was fortunate to catch up with Worth. His body betrayed the same effervescence I witnessed that day. He was the same as I remembered over a decade ago. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

RIP and praying for family, he will be missed.

I'm proud to say Worth was one of my oldest friends, as we were classmates from first grade until graduation. We worked together on our high-school newspaper, and we both pursued careers in journalism after that. I was glad to reconnect with him later in life when we both found ourselves in Fort Worth. I admired Worth enormously for his optimism, his emotional openness, his eager appetite for new experiences, his sweet kindness, his idealism and his passionate sense of right and wrong. There...

I’ll never forget seeing Worth on the McNeil-Lehrer NewsHour, probably in the early 1980s, when he was covering ag for the Star-Telegram and I was in the paper’s D.C. bureau. He was talking about peanuts, of all things, if I recall correctly. He was a great guy, and a great reporter. I’ll always recall him fondly as Mr. Peanut. My condolences to his family.

Mr.Worth Wren.An amazing friend and journalist. May the God and father of us all continue to comforted your family during this time and for the rest of our life. We Love this great man!!!

I was blessed to work alongside Worth Wren Jr. on the Fort Worth Star-Telegram business news desk from 1982 to 1987. Worth was one of the finest individuals I have ever known. He was a talented, idealistic, hard-working reporter, and a very kind person. He cared deeply for his family and humanity, and never lost sight of the big picture. He was FUN to be around, and his good nature would help others get through stressful, challenging situations. I'm gonna miss you, Worth old buddy. But when I...

Worth was a wonderful neighbor. He loved riding his lawn mower and mowing my front yard when he mowed his. I will remember the thoughtful person that he was and how he was there for me after Danny’s passing. He enjoyed the pies from Carshon’s and enjoyed sharing his purchases. He will be missed.
Rest In Peace Worth
