Yvonne Wade Obituary

In loving memory of Yvonne Elizabeth Wade, who passed away on January 23, 2026, in The City of the Meadows. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Yvonne was a beloved sister to William (Daler), a dear aunt to Chelsea, and a cherished cousin to the Crayton, Gaston, and Robinson families.


Yvonne earned her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana State University and was an avid singer in the Metropolitan Baptist Church Choir in Washington, DC, directed by her late friend Richard Smallwood. She also served at Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.


Her passion for helping others was evident in her work with Catholic Charities and AARP in Ft Bend County, Texas, where she dedicated her efforts to serving seniors and veterans. Yvonne was also known for her love of organizing class and family reunions, as well as her enthusiasm for sports.


A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Yvonne’s family is grateful for your support and prayers during this time.

Yvonne was gentle, genuine & loving. Always smiling even when the day might have been rough. She was selfless & giving. She will always be treasured & remembered for the sweet spirit that she was. Yvonne was not only a wonderful colleague but also a lovely friend. I often sought her advice on certain subjects, projects and endeavors. Her insights were always inspiring and appreciated. Yvonne was a woman of integrity, dedication and commitment. I will never forget her and her warm words of encouragement. Rest well my friend until we meet again.
