Michael T. Asher Battle Creek Michael Tyler Asher 25 of Battle Creek passed away February 28, 2013 at the University of Michigan Medical Center after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. He was surrounded by family and a great group of friends. Mike was born on September 21, 1987 to Ronald and Janet (Smith) Asher in Battle Creek. Mike enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, cooking and hanging out with friends and family. Mike lived his life without complaining about his illness and made the best of it. He was a very special young man and touched the lives of many people, he will be missed by all and especially his cousin Darrin Stewart with whom countless hours were spent together playing video games, hunting and just plain being brothers. He is survived by his father, Ronald W. Asher; mother, Janet M. Grevers; grandmother, Darlene M. Smith; step-dad, Peter R. Grevers; step-brother, Peter M. Grevers (Stacie); step-sister, Jennifer (Brian) Murphy; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, George and Norma Jean Asher and Junior D. Smith. Family will receive friends at Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Sebright officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date with immediate family. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
