Chauncey C. "Chan" Wiltse

Chauncey C. "Chan" Wiltse Battle Creek Chauncey Clifford "Chan" Wiltse, 88, died December 1, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born May 9, 1924, the son of Floyd and Lucy (Emery) Wiltse in Dice, Michigan. Chan worked for Archway Cookies for 30 years, retiring in 1994 as the National Sales Manager. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilowdean "Dean" Wiltse in 2006; his parents; brothers, Emery Wiltse, Dan Wiltse and sister, Shirley Cashen. Chan is survived by his daughter, Jan (Thomas) Allman of Battle Creek; sons, Thomas (Lisa Dice) Wiltse of Midland, Emery "Kip" (DeLane) Wiltse of Savannah, Georgia, Richard (Mari) Wiltse of Jackson, James (Tatiana) Wiltse of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Timothy (Ann) Wiltse of Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, Christopher (Tani) Wiltse of Battle Creek; 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Paul Cassow and special friend, Wanda Myer, who cared for him the last month of his life. Chan was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and the Battle Creek Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf, duck hunting and watching baseball. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Shaw Funeral Home. Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Rev. Brad Hubbard officiating. Entombment 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at Roselawn Cemetery, Saginaw. Memorials may go to the American Red Cross or St. Mark Lutheran Church. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home.
