Connie Jean Riddell

Connie Jean Riddell, lived 79 joyful years in Michigan, Rhode Island, Texas, Illinois, New Jersey and Florida. She last resided in Elk Rapids, Michigan and Punta Gorda, Florida.  Her adult life was filled with the joys of being a US Navy wife, a loving mom, an elected official, a published author, a dedicated farmer, an avid recreational boater, an active quilter and founder of the Elk Rapids (MI) First Presbyterian Church Stephen Ministry. Connie also served as a Deacon and an Elder at the church. 

Connie passed away on May 31, 2014. She was born on Feb. 14, 1935 in Battle Creek, Michigan and attended Battle Creek High School, Western Michigan University and the University of Michigan.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years George Riddell of Elk Rapids, MI and Punta Gorda, FL, her two sons George Riddell Jr. (Jody) of Seattle, WA and Mark Riddell of Onaway, MI and one grandson.

Connie was born in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was predeceased by her father William David Crawford (1999) and mother Marie Adele Crawford (2006) of Battle Creek, Michigan, and her sister Sherry (Crawford) Hennerman (1970).

Memorial services in Michigan and Florida are pending at this time.
