W. William "Bill" Kenyon Obituary
W. William "Bill" Kenyon Battle Creek W. William "Bill" Kenyon, age 70, of Battle Creek, MI, died Thursday morning, October 4, 2012 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Bill, the son of Donald and Doris (Drews) Kenyon, was born on January 18, 1942 in Charlotte, MI and moved to the Harper Creek area in 1944. He moved to Georgetown, KY for a few years with Clark Equipment, but returned to Harper Creek in 1996. Bill was a 1960 graduate of Battle Creek Harper Creek High School and retired in 1992 as a Shop Foreman for Clark Equipment Company of Battle Creek and Computer Input person at Georgetown, KY after more than 30 years of faithful service. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting or just watching nature out his back door! Bill was avid gambler going to the Casino's, playing the Lottery or Keno at his favorite pub. Another passion in his life was spending time with his two girls, the grandchildren or just hanging-out with his buddy, Bob. Surviving are his two daughters, Lori M. Kenyon of Dowling, MI and Terri L. (Paul) Rose of Holland, MI; two grandchildren, Bradley Wills of Grand Rapids, MI and Keri (Caleb) Case of Hastings, MI; two great grandsons, Brendan and Sean Case and two sisters, Linda (Ed) Forward of Ceresco, MI and Donna (Jim) Smith of Battle Creek. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his ex-wife, the former Lu Ann Blue on April 19, 2000. At the request of Bill's family, friends will be received today, Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek. The Funeral Service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Monday, Oct. 8th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Phil D. Wiechart, Chaplain at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, officiating. Interment will follow at Newbre Cemetery, Emmett Township. Family and friends will gather at Bill's residence to continue his life celebration with a time of fellowship and a luncheon immediately following the interment.
