Tadeusz Z. "Ted" Flasza, 86
Tadeusz Z. "Ted" Flasza, age 86, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 2, 1925, in Zalesczyk, Poland to Adolf and Maria Flasza. Mr. Flasza was in a forced labor camp in Siberia during World War II. After being freed by the British, he went to Egypt where he served in the Polish-British division of the British Royal Air Force (RAF). After World War II, he moved to England where he lived for five years, then moved to Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Flasza was a foreman with Danly Machines in Chicago. After retirement, he moved to Mountain Home in 1987 where he was a devoted member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Emily Flasza: of the home; a son: Edward Flasza and his wife, Halina: Little Rock, Arkansas; and a sister: Julia Maszota: Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister: Janina Niemiro.
Visitation with the family receiving friends was from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Roller Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be
10:00 A.M. Monday, May 7, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Stan Swiderski as celebrant. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Visit our online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
