Doyal Davis

- - Doyal Davis, 85, of West Plains, Missouri formerly of Centerpoint, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in West Plains, Missouri. He was born to the late Floyd Davis and Bertha (Talburt) Davis on October 28, 1932 in Elizabeth, Arkansas.

Jimmie Doyal Davis worked many years for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department as a pilot on the ferry and various other jobs. Doyal also spent many years working as a farmer and he lived on the original homesteaded land of his great grandfather, Cicero Davis. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and was a member of the Centerpoint Baptist Church. Doyal served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He leaves to mourn his passing; two sons, Cass Davis of Centerpoint, Arkansas and Robbie Davis and wife Laurie of Moody, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kim, Kristina, Whitney, Courtney and Jordin; Two great grandsons, Landon and Tyson; two sisters, Lea Golden McCullough of Glencoe, Arkansas and Lavone Williams of Centerpoint, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his daughter (Wanda Mae Davis), two grandsons (Seth Davis and James Davis), sister (Velma Ruth Walker) and parents.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Jim Moore officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Scott Walker, Donnie Walker, Ronnie Walker, Jordin Davis, Tim Walker, Kenny McCullough and Flint McCullough. Interment will be in the Custer - Herron Cemetery in Henderson, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas. Guest may sign an online registry
