Ardmore - Jerry Donald Nance, 87, peacefully passed away May 13, 2018 of natural causes. He was born August 20, 1930 in Tulsa to L.W. and Helen Nance. He was married to his beloved wife Vada for 58 years and is now blissfully reunited with her in heaven. He is survived by his son Steve of Allen TX, son Kregg and wife Daniele of Sarasota FL, grandson Casey and wife Jenna of Plano TX, granddaughter Kristen of Dallas TX, and great granddaughters Scarlett and Savannah, brother Joe and wife Katherine of Jasper AR and their children Stewart and wife Grace of Eureka Springs AR, Suzanne and husband Mark Cyrus of Tulsa OK , Kathy and husband Mark Bentley of Little Rock AR, and so many precious nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a lifelong successful businessman in multiple ventures who always provided well for his family and loved them even more. His hobby and passion was golf and he was truly an expert at it, winning numerous amateur tournaments throughout his life including holding a course record of 11 holes-in-one at Dornick Hills Country Club. A former college football player at Arkansas Tech, he loved sports and fully encouraged and supported his sons and grandchildren in their athletic endeavors. Jerry was tough, funny and fiercely loyal, but his big soft heart would make him tear up when recounting a treasured memory of a family member or friend. He will be missed by every person he ever met. His beautiful wife Vada died the same date of May 13 in 2011. Jerry visited her gravesite at least three days a week for all seven years in between. His final visit is now eternal. Funeral services will be Friday, May 18th at 1:30pm in the Craddock Memorial Chapel, Ardmore, OK with Dr. Brook Edmonds officiating.
