Jorene Barnett
Mountain Home - Jorene Barnett, 89, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Good Samaritan. She was born on March 17, 1932, to the late Charley Ray and Mertle Lou (Reynolds) Hodges in Gassville, Arkansas.
Jorene loved being around people and helping others in any way she knew how. She worked in childcare most of her life, including watching and caring for her grandchildren. She loved a good party and playing games. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Dewey (Alfred), two sons: Mike Barnett (Jill) and Roger Barnett; four grandchildren: Sara Cotter (Jason), Brian Barnett (Ashton), Chad Dewey (Allyson), and Jeremy Dewey (Sarah); ten great grandchildren: Jacob, Xavier, Eleanor, Dryer, Leah, Lauren, Libby, Addie, Marlee and Parker; several cousins; and the caregivers and friends at Good Samaritan, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; two sisters, Eloise and Carol; a great granddaughter, Emma Grace Barnett and daughter-in-law, Connie Barnett
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice House, 811 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
