Mountain Home - Robert J. (Bob) Grabowski, 79, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Mountain Home. He was born on December 4, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to Anthony and Verna Grabowski. He married Jo Strub on April 29, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio.

Bob was employed with Dana Corp., Spicer Transmission Division in 1960 and worked at several management positions in the Toledo, OH plant. Bob was the first Dana employee to move to Jonesboro, AR in 1979 to start up the Spicer Transmission Division second plant. Bob retired from Dana with thirty years of service as the plant engineer. Then Bob and his wife, Jo, owned and operated the Driftwood Resort in Gamaliel, AR for fifteen years until they finally retired. Bob was a volunteer firefighter with the 101 Gamaliel Fire Department for ten years, a board commissioner and chairman of the 101 Fire District for six years. Bob was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Jo Grabowski of the home; one son, Joseph (M'Lisa) Grabowski of Mountain Home; one daughter, Kim (Joel) King of Jonesboro; one brother, Edward (Judy) Grabowski of Lambertville, MI; one sister, Patricia (Robert) Kubicz of Lambertville, MI; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Ammerman of Belleville, MI and Patricia Fuss of Toledo, OH; one brother-in-law, Michael (Carolyn) Strub of Ingleside, IL; family friend, Jerry Fuss of Erie, MI; three grandchildren, Erika, Preston and Robert; six great-grandchildren, Parker, Allison, Emerie, McKenzie, Morrison and Barrett and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Grabowski and one granddaughter, Samantha.

Arrangements are by Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center. A gathering of family friends will be Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Conner Family Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Father Norbert Rappold officiating.
