Born September 22, 1929 in Oak Hill, West Virginia to the late Thomas & Vera Martin. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1950 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Masters from Stanford University in Data Processing. He pursued an Air Force career as a fighter pilot with over 200 missions in Korea and Vietnam to his credit. He was a devoted family man and an innovative handyman. He loved fishing and was a friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty J. Martin, daughter Kathy Alexander, sons Steven Martin and David Martin & spouses, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Full military honors will be held at the Houston National cemetery chapel on October 2, 2015 at 2pm. Rest in peace love.
