Carol Helene Minton, age 86 of Alvin, Texas passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. Carol was born on November 15, 1929 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Carrie Harman. She graduated from Milton High School in Milton, Pennsylvania and spent most of her years raising and taking care of her family. Carol was a lifelong volunteer with a loving and generous heart. She served her community in a variety of ways such as; President of the PTA at Webster Elementary, Served on the Board of Directors for the Nassau Bay Swim Team, President of the Lockheed Wives Club and volunteering at Clear Lake Regional Hospital. Carol loved entertaining and hosted many parties at her home throughout the years for Lockheed Sip and Sings, Bunco groups, nursing home residents, and the Lockheed Retirees group. Carol took great pride in her four children and was always their biggest supporter in the many activities and events they were involved in. Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and followed their activities with loving pride and joy. Carol loved her family with all her heart, and was the most content when we all gathered at their home.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Carrie Harman; grandson, Conner Minton; sister, Betty Baumgartner.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Chris Minton; daughters, Jacquie Duncan and husband Nelson, Debbie Branch and husband C.R.; sons, Chris Minton and Chuck Minton; grandchildren, Scott Branch, Stephanie Branch, Travis Branch and Baylen Smith; sister, Joanne Kreamer; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her loving caregivers; Maria DeJulian, Sara Bernal, Yuriana Bernal and Miranda Hunt for their love and support throughout the years and in her final days.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Scott Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11:00 AM. Following the Service, the family invites you to a reception in Carol's honor at Joe's Banquet Center, 1400 East Hwy 6, Alvin, Texas 77511.
