James "Jim" Joseph Hoban, 72, of El Lago, TX passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

Jim was born June 8, 1943, in New York City, to Michael and Josephine Hoban. He graduated from All Hallow's Catholic High School (NYC) and St. Peter's University (NJ). He was an Officer in the U.S. Air Force serving as an MP. After retiring from the Air Force, he and his family moved to Houston and eventually settled in El Lago, TX in 1978. He worked over 40 years in sales.

Jim could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He proved himself very resourceful; whether he was sailing, gardening or restoring his favorite classic car.

He always had a love of family, friends and pets.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Annemarie "Ann" Hoban; daughter, Amy Hardison (Patrick) of Bellaire, TX; son, Michael Hoban (Aliscia) of Round Rock, TX; daughter, Jenny Rafoul (Stephen) of Austin, TX; 4 beautiful grandchildren: Samantha Hoban, Nathan Hardison, Joshua Hoban and Evan Hardison; brother, Michael Hoban and family in New Jersey.

At his request, an informal (come and go as you please) Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 11th from 3 pm to 7 pm at 311 Pineview Circle, Seabrook, TX 77586. Questions may be sent to [email protected]

As Jim cared about nothing more than Ann, and was her caregiver for the past nine years, a Go Fund Me page has been set up in Ann's name to assist with her long-term care (https://www.gofundme.com/hoban).
