Janith Rodgers Coutret, 71, passed away Monday, March 20, at Methodist Hospital in Houston surrounded by her family. Janith was born September 14, 1945, in Scottsboro, Alabama, to the late Bessie Lou and Wheeler Rodgers. Janith moved to Texas in 1986 to continue her career in aerospace where she worked for 35 years and retired from Boeing. She loved traveling, the Crimson Tide, and all things fabulous. Most of all, Janith was fiercely dedicated to her family and friends. She exuded grace and charm, and she always found the good in people and situations. She was a true light to those who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Joel Lowe; her daughter and son in-law, Jana and Lee Hurzeler; stepsons, Greg Wales, Sean Lowe and John Lowe; her brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Nancy Rodgers; two nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Baker, and her late husband, Alex Coutret. A memorial service for Janith will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 31, at Seabrook Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Assistance League of the Bay Area. The family sends their sincere appreciation to Dr. Carl Dahlberg, the doctors and nurses of the Houston Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Associates and to Dr. Kristen Moore of the Allergy & ENT Associates of Houston.
