Joyce Anne Sabol Stenger of Friendswood, Texas ( formerly of Topeka, Kansas ) died on July 29, 2015 from Multiple Myeloma Cancer, at age 74.

She was born in Akron, Ohio on July 22, 1941. She attended early school education in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Seaman High School. By 1966 she was married had two children and divorced. During that time, she worked at Goodyear Tire (Topeka Division) as a management trainee. Through Goodyear she was able to complete her Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Washburn University in May 1988. After being layed off, she packed her car, moved to Clear Lake, Texas where she became a technical writer supporting sub-contractors to NASA at Johnson Space Center. In 2002, while on medical leave from Lockheed/Martin, she decided to start her own business. As a woman owned entrepreneur, she worked from home writing, editing, and evaluating documents for numerous sources. "C3" Configuration Control Crew was launched.

She was an avid grower of African Violets with hundreds of show ribbons at the local, regional, and national level. She became a Master Judge and enjoyed giving seminars, lectures, and writing articles on just how to grow this specialty plant.

She was preceded by parents, George Sabol and Anne Sabol along with brother, David Sabol. She leaves behind, daughter, DeAnne Stenger Post and son-in-law, David Post in Damascus, Maryland; son, Darron Stenger and daughter-in-law, Vivian Hsu in Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Deidre Post Marshall and grandson-in-law, Jason Marshall of Williamson, West Virginia; grandson, Derek Post in Damascus, Maryland; great-granddaughter, Rachel Marshall of Williamson, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Patricia Sabol in Topeka, Kansas; and significant other, John Nabers of Friendswood, Texas - who has been a steady foundation for her life and devoted partner for over thirty years.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to your local Humane Society or ASPCA - she loved animals.
