Kathleen Louise Bartlett Tibbetts 68, of Clear Lake City TX, passed away on January 20, 2014 surrounded by family and friends at home. Kathleen was born on September 16, 1945 in Malden, Massachusetts to the late Louise and Joseph Bartlett. She grew up in Malden, MA and graduated from Malden High before receiving her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Framingham State University. She and David were married on November 23, 1968 and recently celebrated their 45th anniversary. She taught in Malden, MA prior to moving to Houston, TX in 1978. With her love for education, she continued to teach for the Clear Creek ISD for many years and was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. Even after retiring Kathleen continued to substitute and tutor. Kathleen loved to travel anywhere, but her favorite place to go each year was back to her beloved Boston to visit her many cousins and friends. Kathleen was survived by her loving husband David; her 3 sons and their wives, John and Casie of Austin, TX, Michael and Melissa of Clear Lake, TX and Robert and Doris of Clear Lake, TX. She was the cherished grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Caitlin, Sean, Antonio, Eric, Emma, Elizabeth, and Natalia. She is also survived by her sisters; Janie Bartlett White, Lorraine Bartlett Cronin, and Marilyn Bartlett Cullinan and numerous nephews and nieces and many close friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church located at 15500 El Camino, Houston, TX 77062 at 11:00AM, preceded by a rosary at 10:30AM.
