Larry Wayne Owen, and Lina Faye Kuehn Owen, died unexpectedly in a pedestrian automobile accident on February 3, 2016.

A Celebration of their Lives was held Saturday, February 6 at Southeast Church of Christ, in Friendswood, TX, 10 am, with Rick Fyffe officiating.

Larry was born in Jacksboro, TX on 3/12/1950 and grew up in Graham and Euless, TX. He was a graduate of LD Bell High School and Western Illinois University with a degree in Fire Protection Engineering. He worked as a fireman in North Richland Hills in the 60's, then moved into a successful career in fire protection sales at Webb Murray & Associates in LaPorte, TX and later at Dooley Tackaberry in Deer Park, TX.

Larry was an avid car enthusiast, fisherman and played golf whenever the sun was shining.

Lina was born in Fort Worth, TX on 12/25/1949 and grew up in Lancaster and Euless, TX. She was a graduate of LD Bell High School. She worked at John F. Ward Elementary in Clear Lake City in the front administrative office and was a constant smiling face for the students and faculty for over a decade. She loved scrapbooking, shopping, puzzles and her dogs.

Larry and Lina met at the local Dairy Queen in Euless, TX in 1969 and immediately fell in love. They were married 2/4/1970 and had 2 daughters, Michelle and Denise. They were active members of Clear Lake and Southeast Church of Christ and were led by their faith. They loved traveling the world together, watching the sunset at their bay house and being "Grandmommie" and "Papa".

Larry and Lina will be dearly missed by friends and loved ones. They are survived by parents Faye and Clyde Dowdle of Elgin, TX, and Dean Owen of North Richland Hills, TX. Siblings Kim Neely of Georgetown, TX, James Kuehn of Dallas, TX, Debbie Hightower of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Jeri Shelby of Bedford TX and Jimmy Owen of Dallas, TX. Children, Michelle Owen of Houston, TX, Denise and Chris Perry of Friendswood, TX. Grandchildren Renee VanDeLinder of Houston TX, Anthony VanDeLinder of Fulshear, TX and Owen, Brayden, Julianna and Mikaela Perry of Friendswood, TX
