Lynda Katherine Jones Brandenberger, 77, of Friendswood, TX died on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. She was born May 7, 1938 to James Jones and Helen Barr Jones in Newburgh, IN.

At the age of 18, Lynda met the love of her life, Paul, and married him the following year. She has four sons who love her dearly. Lynda and Paul pursued many interests together, including their love of plants and orchids. Lynda was a past president of the Houston Orchid Society, the Galveston Bay Orchid Society, and the Friendswood Heritage Gardeners. Lynda was an avid reader, particularly interested in the history of man and the earth. Besides orchids, she enjoyed making silver jewelry, quilting, and pottery. Lynda was a fabulous and adventurous cook; her Thanksgiving dinners were masterworks for her adoring family. Lynda loved to travel, and was especially passionate about Hawaii and Alaska.

She was preceded by her parents, and son Jeffery Lee.

Lynda is survived by her loving husband Paul Edward, and three children Paul James, John, and Jay, daughters-in-law, Leigh and Donna, grandchildren Amber, Aaron and Alyssa, and great-grandchildren, Aria and Corbin, and sister Jan Sill and brother Jim Jones, and many other relatives and cherished friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Rev. Jerry Stark officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lynda's memory to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1 st Street, #800, Miami, FL 33131 or or Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway #1509, New York, NY 10018 or , or a .
